Description

This adventure is operated by pelagic life

Pelagic Life is our Non-Profit partner, creators of the Pelagic Safari concept, and shark-swimming pioneers in Baja. Pelagic Life offers coastal communities an economic alternative to fishing through sustainable tourism while always using local fishermen as operators.

Uncharted territory for most, Bahía Magdalena is one of the three bays in the world where gray whales gather to reproduce and give birth every year. You’ll stay at a small family owned hotel in the middle of a fishing community where you’ll end up knowing everyone by name before you leave. The bays beautiful mangrove channels make their way to sand dunes that will trick you into thinking you’re suddenly in Namibia, South Africa. Magdalena is also known as a bird watchers paradise that is home to the southern most population of bald eagles. We have found this area to be a pelagic mecca both in and out of the water. Our Magbay trips are operated using local fishermen in an effort to help the community.
