Pelagic Safari crew have been going out to clean up the plastic pollution in Cabo San Lucas & San José del Cabo area and document the condition of the ocean after the tragic Tropical Storm Lidia.During the first 2 days of this campaign we realized that the Estuary of San José de Cabo was one of the most polluted areas. We asked for a permit to gain special access through the Marina of San Jos as the plastic pollution in this estuary was hastily killing many of the species.
On Wednesay 6th we spent five long hours with nine amazing #PelagicHumans removing 60 bags weighing 210 liters a piece !!!
Together we cleaned 200 meters of the beach!!! We found five Dead Sea Turtles.
We are headed back out tomorrow morning at 7 am same place ( Marina San José del Cabo at the Parking close to the office) to keep on with this campaign.
Together we can make a difference.
