Biodiversity Report for Pelagic Safari on 8th of September, 2017 after Tropical Storm Lidia. Species with which we were interacted: 1 Galapagos Shark, 9 Silky Sharks including males and females. Numerous dolphins and Tuna. This was an exciting trip as this is the first time that we were able to experience a Galapagos Shark in this location! The Galapagos Shark was shy and only shared a few minutes with us. We were unable to determine the sex of the Galapagos due to the limited amount of time, but this shark was about 2.5 meters! It was an experience we will never forget! The Silky’s stayed with us for 3 hours and 30 minutes!! The large Tunas and Dolphins swam by us but we were able to experience their beauty.
The open ocean of the Baja, California Sur brings us pure joy as this is truly the Aquarium of the World!
