BIODIVERSITY AT PELAGIC SAFARI · July 29th, 2017

Hello #PelagicHumans ! On July 29th, 2017 we departed from San José de Cabo at 11am. As we were sailing to the ‘’shark spot’’ , we were lucky enough to see 4 sperm whales and a pod of dolphins from the boat. By 1.30pm we were already chumming to attrack the sharks. And then we waited, with snacks of our own. The first silky sharks appeared 2hrs later, and after that a scalloped hammerhead followed and swam with us. We were lucky enough to swim with the Silky sharks for 1.5hrs. Just before the end of the safari we looked into the blue and there it was! A special moment! The unexpected moment where Mobulas dancing around us for a good 10 minutes before disappearing back into the blue again. We had a blast, and can’t wait for the next outing!
