A Half Day Safari got us up bright and early hoping for some pelagic action. We headed out with two guests from South Africa who had plenty of experience with big animals in the water. We headed out to the pacific looking for sharks and we spent some time meanwhile looking for pelagic species. We had wahoo and dorado swim around the boat while we tried to attract sharks. While in the water, we also saw two large Olive Ridley sea turtles on the surface mating.
It was very cool as they allowed us to get very close. We got some great photos of the mating turtles something we rarely see. We headed back inshore looking whatever we could find when we started seeing mobulas jump. We found a huge school in shallow but they were moving fast.
The water was clear and we had a great view. We swam with these mobulas diving for nearly an hour and it was some of the best mobula action we had all season. Afterwards we took a look at the iconic arch and sea lion colony of Cabo San Lucas.`
