We had a lot of luck this day!
Upon entering the water I counted 10-15 Silkys around us. Most did not hang around but we did have 2-3 sharks with us for over 2 hours, as curious as ever. We were also visited by another (or the same?) group of 10+ individuals as we drifted. Almost throughout the time we were in the water we had a number of large schools of fish below us as well, including large numbers of smaller yellowfin tuna.
This was due mostly to the fact that the current and wind were moving in opposite directions and we thus stayed more or less over the bank while our slick line was spread by the current. The mobulas were still jumping even though the massive schools seem to have departed, but only in the CSL bay.
We love the summer in Los Cabos!
