Its been a windy week here in Cabo and today was no exception.
We headed out from the arch into the bumpy seas with the hope of seeing some Mako Sharks. As the waves rolled over we chummed hard. The first creatures we attracted was a pair of noisy Sea gulls. Not long after a curious sea lion showed up. He demonstrated his amazing acrobatic skills to us as he twisted and turned just below the surface. We also had a couple of friendly dolphins come over and see what’s going on. The star of the show was a large pelican who was happy to find a nice meal. He was determined to eat the Tuna head… But that for the Makos! The pelican continuously creeper up silently and tried to take a bite of the big head. He was very persistent, we played for a while and he almost won. Our new friend hung around for quite a long time and even joined us on the boat at one point.
We chummed all day with no luck with the pelagic sharks but we had a lot of fun.
Its never a bad day when were are on the ocean.
