Today was a shark day. We left the Marina very early, the water was still and the was still low. We headed out to our shark spot for the day and started chumming as soon as possible. The conditions were excellent. Some wind, some current and some movement in the water, As our slick line continues to spread into the horizon we waited patiently for the sharks to come. “Shark” I shouted; I had spotted a fin breaking the surface just from the corner of my eye. Everyone got ready and we slipped into the water. It was just one silky but as is usually the case with silky sharks, it wasn’t long before another and another showed up. In the end, we interacted with four friendly silky sharks. They stayed close and were just as excited to see us as we were them.
The water was warm and clear and made for an amazing interaction.
On our way back we had the opportunity to jump in the water with some Mobulas. The huge congregations of mobulas moving in unison alongside us, never ever disappoint!
