The 12th of December is a day we will always remember, as we were cruising along the coast in the Sea of Cortez, we saw a small whale blow in the distance, it was quite small and we were not sure, it could be a whale or a dolphin. just 2 min later it came up again, another blow and this time it fluked, showing its tail to us. It was definitely a whale, but it didn’t look like a Hump back whale, which is what we expect this time of year. This time we managed to get close as the whale calmly cruised along the surface. It was a Juvenile Grey Whale. It was very small, even looked like a calf. we stayed with this whale calmly for a while. it was a very rare and special thing to see. We spent the rest of the day with Mobulas and even some common dolphins in the beautiful open blue.
